Many healthcare facilities are moving in the direction of electronic order entry systems. Although, there are many benefits to electronic order entry systems there are also particular vulnerabilities to consider when designing, implementing and converting to new systems that involve complex technology.
This one hour webinar will highlight some key vulnerabilities and associated safeguards for electronic order entry systems.

Monique is the manager of Pharmacy Clinical Informatics at the University Health Network in Toronto. Monique currently manages the development and implementation of clinical medication computerized programs for the Pharmacy Department at the University Health Network. This includes computerized physician medication order entry and the electronic medication administration record.

Kimindra Tiwana, R.Ph, B.Sc. Pharm., ACPR
Kimindra is a medication safety specialist with ISMP Canada, with ten years experience practicing pharmacy primarily in the acute care sector. In a variety of capacities, Kimindra has been involved with the conversion of paper to electronic order entry system in a number of acute care facilities. In Kimindra's current role at ISMP Canada she is involved with implementing medication reconciliation with a particular interest in discharge medication reconciliation.
