Changing Healthcare from My Workspace:
Tools to Launch Improvement from any Setting
Background
|
|
Today’s healthcare professionals are trained to provide up–to–date care within a specific field of practice. Once they begin to practice, however, they become part of a large, complex system of processes that are ever–evolving. Changes such as the introduction of technology and updates to treatment protocols can inadvertently affect existing processes negatively, creating work–arounds. Today’s healthcare professional must consider their role and actions in processes in such a way that benefits the system as a whole. This must not happen by chance, but by the deliberate and intentional use of quality improvement tools in an environment that is primed and ready for improvement.
This webinar will introduce tools widely used by most organizations to direct change effectively within the system. As with other healthcare fields there are acronyms and phrases that are used – these will be translated and demystified!
